My findings after lurking

after lurking the ultitalk forums...

noticed a few posts like this

"two even (x/y) teams to Nationals knows"
even is x/x not x/y, x/y is the same as a/b!!! you use the same letter to indicate they are equal! not lower letters in the alphabet!

Sadly ultimate isn't a branch of mathematics. If x/y is commonly used and generally understood to indicate even teams in ultimate speak, then that's what it means.

Someone has been listening to you semfel. Quoted from the nationals discussion just this evening

"I reckon Fakulti, I-Beam and Fyshwick are looking like the strongest teams. HoS has already been pretty well thrashed by Canberra so they're probably not looking at Top 3, and both Chilli and Firestorm have split X/X so they're probably not looking that strong either."

You may have your way yet
