North Shore League Division 2. Friskee always come last or second last. We usually try to console our selves thinking "its ok, we'll win spirit"
This season we didnt spirit again.
01) Control Freaks 105/13 = 8.077
02) Cousin Sven 104/13 = 8.000
03) RuBi 100/13 = 7.692
04) Friskee 100/13 = 7.692 *
The star means we had a forfeit which means we got 0 for a game because we didn't turn up.
Damnit!

Any team that "tries" to win spirit never does. And I've always found it ridiculous to assume the bottom placed team is the most spirited. Teams can win games and be spirited, and they can lose and be dicks about it. There's no rule.
Case in point being that the 2 teams above Frsikee in spirit came 2nd and 3rd at the league. (yeah rubi). No suprise about the bottom of div 2. but there were some serious anomalies...i would have assumed SNAFU would have been fucked for spirit, while i was very shocked to see SUUFA last in div 3....i know the players, and they arent an 'unspirited' bunch....half of them play on the same team that came 3rd for spirit in div 2. Its not a very well tought out process in league i think...no team ever gtalks about the other teams spirit scores, it is normally just an afterthought of the captain when they send in the scores. Its hard to establish any consistency at all, it seems very arbitrary to me, at least in leagues
